You email sending domain is where your community and team members will receive communication from you in VidSell such as your invitations to join and access areas of the engage area and more.

To set up your email sending domain its important to first set up your custom domain, so if you have not already done so please see our short article on setting that up before proceeding.

Step 1: Go to the "Workspace" tab in the "Account Settings" area and click on "Email" (this is only visible after setting up and verifying your custom domain).

Step 2: Set up the four DNS records displayed here in your DNS manager. You can use the copy buttons to quickly copy the name and value fields to your clipboard.

The fourth field is optional and is recommended if you currently have no DMARC records set up for this domain.

Note: CloudFlare users: make certain to disable the proxy and use "DNS Only".

Depending on your domain registrar / DNS manager, propagation can take from only a couple minutes (such as with most modern registrars) to 24-48 hours. You can check the propagation of your records using services such as https://dnschecker.org/.

Step 3: Once propagated, click the "Verify Email Sending Domain" button. This process can take a moment to fully set up and validate your sending domain.

Step 4: After your sending domain is verified, enter the email address you would like your account's emails to send from and click "Update".

Your account environment is now successfully configured to use your own sending domain for application emails!

With your custom domain and emails fully set up, you can now begin inviting community members inside your account and growing your video business!
